The white stuff just won’t leave us alone.

Easter weekend in Edmonton will have egg hunts and church gatherings. What it won’t have is spring in the air.

Environment Canada expects temperatures to stay around the freezing mark until Monday. Don’t believe them? Stick your head out the window.

The instruments at Edmonton’s Blatchford station read six degrees below zero at 7 a.m. It’s expected to rise to just -2 C with periods of light snow expected throughout the day. The wind will make it feel more like -7 C. It’s possible there will be some flurries between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., but don’t hold it against us.

Still, there’s no indication the Easter Bunny has any plans to do anything but load up his sleigh with presents and hit the bricks, so there are plenty of reasons to enjoy the weekend.
