The Calgary Wranglers of the AHL have signed forwards Calder Brooks, Lucas Feuk and Matt Marcinew to one-year, two-way AHL/ECHL contracts.
Brooks, a native of Emerald Park, Sask., split last season between the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL) and Rapid City Rush (ECHL).
With the Flames’ newest ECHL affiliation, Brooks had 19 goals and 18 assists in 43 regular-season games, and posted five goals and eight assists in 11 ECHL playoff contests. The 28-year-old also played for the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL over three seasons starting in 2011.
Feuk, fresh off Flames development camp in July, played last season in his home country of Sweden with Vasby IK (HockeyEttan), scoring 11 goals and adding 14 assists in 27 games. The 21-year-old was selected by the Flames in the fourth round (116th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
Calgary native Marcinew played his 2021-22 season in Sweden with Sodertalje SK (HockeyAllsvenskan), scoring seven goals and adding eight assists in 31 games. The 28-year-old has 59 goals and 82 assists in 184 career ECHL games.
