Calgary police investigating death of two-month-old baby


Police say they are required to investigate all sudden deaths of children under two years old as suspicious deaths

Calgary police are investigating after a two-month-old child died at a northwest home on Saturday afternoon.

Police say they were called to assist paramedics with an infant in medical distress at a home on 10A Street N.W. around 4:45 p.m. Saturday. Officers then escorted an ambulance to the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

The child was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Police say they are required to investigate all sudden deaths of children under two years old as suspicious deaths.
