A Comancheros bikie boss was “non-compliant” when officers came to arrest him in Sydney yesterday, police have said.

Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty said the apprehension of national Comancheros sergeant-at-arms Tarek Zahed was a “high risk arrest”.

Zahed, 42, has been charged with murder and kidnapping.

Doherty confirmed that beanbag rounds had been used to get into the car so police could cuff Zahead.

He said police suspected it was possible that Zahed, or the man he was in the car with, could have been armed.

“He was being non-compliant and wouldn’t get out of the car,” Doherty said.
